Hey Doug,
We love you for doing this...you are our minds everyday and this is so thoughtful and good of you to keep us all in the loop. It also gives a chance to communicate even more. While Dave held the fort, I went to Cambodia and China for the last ten days to do the summer buying with our pal, Kath. You were often in our conversations and I know she has sent some information about tht e doctor in Washington state who works with Chinese herbs. I know Kath will be in touch soon as I will send off the blog information. Think about calling this guy with the Chinese herbs. It does sound fascinating. Because of you, we are going organic, doing more thoughtful reading on health, have changed all cleaning products in the house and are using a purer skin care. It takes 20 seconds for anything that touches the skin to reach a major organ...so much for the Clorox generation! All this makes us feel less helpless as it is tangible but does not directly make a change for you....so that brings us to a vibriant prayer life...We have found the perfect triangle as we have been gardening like mad. What a perfect place to send up our loving thoughts of you and Jeanette and kids...the perfect triangle, with all it implies, from North Carolina to Paradise and right back to you in California...from our garden to yours, prayers like all the flowers of Spring, full of hope. We can't wait for Jeanette's visit. We can't wait to see you. With love, Mary and Dave

Hi Doug: I drank ESSIAC. I was able to purchase it at store in Rohnert Park that sold herbs etc. The green "spinach stuff" could be spirilina (sp?).

Hi Doug: I am sending along a quote from Lance Armstrong that I find very helpful:
"Anything is possible. You can be told that you have a 90-percent chance or a 50-percent chance or a 1-percent chance, but you have to believe, and you have to fight.
BELIEVE

Hi Doug: Wow, I was glad to hear you are in the fight mode. There are so many of us who were at the brink and have come back. You have great people on your side. We are here to stand by you as you fight this fight. I believe in miracles and my family and I will be by your side. To you and your family keep believing, keep family and friends near you, and be brave. Janet

Hi Doug,
Hang in there. My thoughts are with you and your family. I had a friend who drank green juice (such as spinich) to cure Cancer.

I have many thoughts for you and prayers as I know somewhat what you struggle with.Seven and 1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and went through 9 months of chemo and 13 operations. I tried standard treatments along with alternatives like going to Mexico having my system flushed out etc. I was alone with two boys in high school and kept getting pneumonia and several times felt I went to the other side. But I guess God decided I was still meant to be here so I got better and for six years no signs. I was only here for 6 months when it showed up again and have fought for the last year and a half and this place is wonderful and supportive so much more than my other school district. Well now even though this time they really thought and I really thought I would not make it, I am still here. I am left with a lot of side effects from the chemo and radiation but I am still here, do not give up hope. My work keeps me from noticing the pain as I am too busy in this department!! There are miracles so believe in them and yourself! All my love to you and your family. keep on trucking!!
